Aix-Marseille-Provence welcomes 7.7 million tourists.
This tourist clientele is mainly French (74% of stays), with half coming from Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Ile-de-France and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Foreign customers, who account for 26% of stays, come mainly from Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy and Switzerland.
On average, tourists spend some 2.8 billion euros in our region each year.
This economic sector alone accounts for some 29,400 jobs.
