🌊 Early April 2024 saw the inauguration of the brand-new Olympia Marina in Marseille, which will be the venue for the Olympic Games sailing events this summer.
With 7,000 m2 of buildings, 17,000 m2 of reorganised outdoor areas and a redesigned pool, the site is ready to welcome the public and the 330 athletes who will be competing in the Olympic regattas! ⛵️
But the marina has much more to offer than its role during the Olympics. It is becoming a place of learning and discovery for the young people of Marseille, making water activities accessible to all and raising awareness of the need to preserve marine biodiversity. 🪸
The inauguration also marked the start of a week of activities and discoveries, giving local residents the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of boating on this new site open to all.
It is a major step forward in promoting maritime sport and culture in Aix-Marseille.
