Shape the future with us
The One Provence Academy is a platform for sharing knowledge about the region with attractiveness and economic development professionals, through five or six events a year, where the chosen themes are deciphered and illustrated by expert testimonials.
These presentations, as well as additional information, images and sales pitches relating to the Aix-Marseille-Provence region, are accessible to all participants, free of charge and available on a permanent basis here.
The platform will also include videos, photographs and key information, enabling everyone to develop their regional culture and enhance their presentations of the region.
Session 9: Sport as an image-booster and a lever for regional appeal?
As part of our partnership with the Comité Départemental Olympique et Sportif des Bouches-du-Rhône (CDOS 13), we organized an Academy on Friday the 28th to demonstrate how sport can be a lever for attractiveness, innovation and collaboration between clubs, companies and foundations. Christophe Alaux (Institut de management public et gouvernance territoriale - Aix Marseille Université), set out the keys to understanding sport as a lever for image and attractiveness. Session 7: Cinema and audiovisual, a booming industry.
A booming creative ecosystem
With its emblematic Mediterranean landscapes, unique architectural heritage and 300 days of sunshine a year, the region offers exceptional filming conditions, attracting French and international productions alike. France's second-largest filming destination, after Paris: by 2023, 430 productions will have shot for 2,180 days, including national and international feature films. The Aix-Marseille-Provence film industry is firmly committed to the digital and environmental transition. Companies are investing in new technologies (virtual reality, artificial intelligence) while developing eco-responsible practices: reducing the carbon footprint of film shoots, short supply chains, optimized waste management. Provence Studios, managed by Olivier Marchetti, is committed every day to "produce differently - Provence Studios was awarded the "Lieu Totem One Provence" label at the Academy, and you can watch the video recap of the session.
Session 6: Social innovation to “make society”, a positive marker for the region.
Rediscover session 6, dedicated to social innovation, which brings together companies and associations around work integration projects. Sami Chlagou, CEO Cross the Ages: "An inspiring journey". Alain Cabras: Interculturalist, associate professor at Polytech Marseille: "Social innovation to build society" - For 20 years, he has been proposing an original method, the core values of Cohesion, to enable individuals from different cultures to work and "Do things together". He is the recipient of the 2021 French Republic Secularism Prize. Fabrice Greffet: La Varappe group, forerunner of the Social Solidarity Economy - "We rebel every day to help hundreds of men and women live a human adventure within our companies". Arnaud Castagnède (Le Cloître / La Betheline) and Yves- Laurent Carayo (Fondation Proman) presentation of the "La Betheline" project, an ESS association with a private partner: when human purpose and positive impact are balanced in a profitable economic model. Stéphanie Milcent - Managing Director of Synergie Family - for the "Green Skills " program, which fosters links between young people or employees undergoing retraining, and companies in "green" sectors. Jules Sitruk - founder of the Protis Club, identifies young high school students from all neighborhoods and social backgrounds to help them build a " better future " by helping them gain access to the grandes écoles. Marine Plagne, Provence Campus: creation of an inter-school network, based on the values of inclusion and diversity, in direct partnership with the film industry. Seven schools have already joined the initiative. Hajar Ajerrar, Action Bomay: bringing French and spelling up to date, we need a common language to build society. Presentation of the "Happy End" festival, film screening, focus on jobs in Marseille's northern neighborhoods. Marie-Laure Guidi, MarseilleS au pluriel: L'entreprise, lieu du " faire-ensemble ". Event presentation: Intercultural Odyssey - April 22, 2025 - mucem- A collective journey to understand, experience and value interculturality. An inspiring forum rooted in reality, with concrete examples of successful intercultural projects in the associative and business worlds.
Session 5 – Marseille and the metropolis: When the Port shapes our territory.
The One Provence 2024 Academy comes to an end! 🎓✨ Last Thursday, at the Pathé cinema in La Joliette, the 5th and final session of the Académie One Provence brought together over 200 participants for a fascinating journey to the heart of our region's history. With Judith Aziza, a passionate historian, we explored the unique links between Marseille, its port and the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolis. A captivating dive into : 🌍 The evolution of the port of Marseille since the 17th century. 📈 Its essential role in the region's economy. 👥 Its impact on the population and attractiveness of the metropolis.
